Two senators representing Indiana will be speaking at the University of Notre Dame this month.

Senators Todd Young and Chris Coons will be speaking about “Civility and bipartisanship in a time of polarization gridlock” during a forum event moderated by Notre Dame’s president, Reverend John Jenkins.

It’s a free event that will happen on October 27 at 2 p.m. in the Leighton Concert Hall of the Debartolo Performing Arts Center.

Both senators have received the Legislative Action Award from the Bipartisan Policy Center for their bipartisanship efforts, and Father Jenkins says after the events in Congress during recent weeks, there is an urgent need for bipartisan conversation and collaboration.

Really it is only one senator. Toad Young votes with Coons far too many times to be two people. Each one was elected to Represent Their State. One is from a blue state, the other is from a red state, but he votes purple most of the time. Toad Young has to go. We can be civil without voting for the other guy ALL OF THE TIME!

Compromise is the root of much political evil. Imagine a scenario where I want to punch you in the face and steal your wallet. What would a compromise look like? Just the face punch? Just the wallet theft?

Compromise is NOT the political ideal, gridlock is! And gridlock in the absence of overwhelming agreement is exactly what our Federal system was designed to produce. I’ll pass on your “bipartisanship”, Jenkins.

Also, this is yet another example of Notre Dame being a trashbag leftist school with a thin veneer of religion.
