Separate trials are being planned for the parents of a Michigan school shooter.
On Monday, a judge heard requests for separate trials for James and Jennifer Crumbley after prosecutors shared new evidence. One of the attorneys stated “it’s apparent that a conflict exists.”
The parents are charged with involuntary manslaughter and have been accused of contributing to the tragedy by making a gun accessible to their son and ignoring the state of his mental health.
Ethan Crumbley, their 17 year-old son, killed four of his fellow students at Oxford High School in 2021. He faces a possible life sentence on December 8.
