After eight years, three children are seeing some justice, since their mom walked out on them.

45-year-old April Davidson has been sentenced to 18 months for child neglect. The kids say that Davidson packed up her stuff and left her family on North Sixth Street in Goshen.

The children, Jasmine, Jordan, and Justin were by themselves since April 10, 2015.

The Goshen News reports 16-year-old Jasmine and 15-year-old Justin were released to family. The oldest, Jordan, was 18. Davidson was taken to the Elkhart County Jail on February 8.

Jasmine says that being put into foster care as a teen was a hard thing to go through and that being abandoned will always live with her.
