A man accused of murder had his status conference rescheduled ahead of his trial due to one of his attorneys being unavailable.
Ja Liahs Curry is accused in the February 11 murder of Thomas Johnson. A probable cause affidavit says that 911 received a call around 5:16 a.m. in regards to a fight involving gunshots outside of the North River Landing Apartments.
Upon arrival, police found Johnson who had been shot and later died at the hospital, according to The Goshen News.
Curry was arrested at his home in Goshen at 11:45 a.m. that day, just hours after the incident. He has several cases which were transferred to circuit court, so he also has two attorneys. Due to one of his attorneys being unavailable for Thursday’s court proceeding, his status conference was rescheduled for February 15.
