Alcohol is believed to be a factor in a crash that injured a Goshen man.
The collision happened around 7:50 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 26, in the area of County Road 23 and County Road 18.
The preliminary investigation from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office indicates a Toyota Camry, driven by the 20-year-old man, left the roadway to the right and struck mailboxes and garbage cans. The driver then corrected and returned to the roadway before going left of center and traveling off the road again.
The driver of the Toyota Camry was taken to Goshen Hospital by Jefferson Township Fire for treatment of a possible head injury.
The car had extensive front-end damage.
