A major company, dubbed a “Big Fish,” is eyeing over 600 acres of land in St. Joseph County, with plans for significant economic impact.

The land sits across from the forthcoming GM Samsung battery plant on State Road 2 at Larrison Road.

The St. Joseph County Council is convening on Tuesday at 6 p.m. to deliberate on rezoning this land, a topic of discussion spurred by the county’s Area Plan Commission’s prior approval of the project.
