According to court documents, Erik Miller, 47, collaborated with a dark web vendor to distribute counterfeit pills, illegal controlled substances, and real prescription drugs.
Authorities report that the fake pills were designed to look like authentic Xanax but contained incorrect or no active ingredients, posing significant health risks.
Miller is also charged with conspiracy to distribute Xanax and MDMA, possession of MDMA and methamphetamine with intent to distribute, and being a felon in possession of multiple firearms.
He faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine, plus an additional 15 years and a $250,000 fine for the gun charge.
