A hazmat team was brought in after a chlorine leak was discovered in Middlebury’s town water plant.

Town Manager Mary Cripe told WSBT that the protocol is to contact the Elkhart City Hazardous Material Response Team.

The leak is in one room of the water plant.

No injuries have been reported and no public evacuations have been ordered or are expected to be ordered.
