Three Buchanan residents who’ve applied to finish former Mayor Sean Denison’s current term will be interviewed during a special city commission meeting on Friday, Sep. 6.
The three who applied are Scott King, Tony Houser and Raquell George. Leader Publications reports King is a former City Commissioner who served from 1994-1998, Houser owns a local restaurant and George is a newcomer to local politics.
Denison announced his resignation earlier in the summer, citing his health and family as the reasons.
