LaPorte Park Dept. Superintendent charged with OWI

The Superintendent of the LaPorte Park Department has been charged with OWI.
Mark Schreiber, 55, was pulled over, early Monday morning, outside of the the LaPorte Park Department office, for not having headlights on.
Police say they could smell alcohol on him and that he displayed other symptoms of impairment. They also say he admitted to drinking before climbing behind the wheel.
His blood alcohol level registered .16, which is two times the legal limit.
