Stabbing incident under investigation at Quality Inn in Mishawaka

Mishawaka Police responded to a reported stabbing at the Quality Inn on West University Drive.

Officers were called around 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1.

Investigaors searched the hotel and nearby properties but were unable to locate any victims at the scene.

Shortly afterward, a 19-year-old woman from South Bend arrived at a local hospital with a stab wound to her back. The hospital contacted authorities, confirming the stabbing took place in a room at the Quality Inn. The victim’s injuries are not life-threatening, and police believe the incident to be isolated, posing no threat to the community.
