Benton Harbor Commissioners have approved the purchase of paid parking kiosks.

During Monday’s regular meeting, the city commission approved the purchase of two touchscreen kiosks that can take payment for parking in lots near two marijuana retailers.

According to WSJM, the parking lots outside of the retailers see a constant stream of traffic, and the City will be using the funds from paid parking to pay for maintenance in the areas.

The kiosks are reportedly intended to set up the initial phases of downtown parking.
