Not only did the Indianapolis Colts beat the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, but former Colts tight end Dallas Clark also got inducted into the team’s Ring of Honor.
Other Colts players who showed up to watch Clark get inducted were some of his former teammates Peyton Manning, Marvin Harrison, Edgerrin James and Jeff Saturday among others.
“Those things have a lot of things on their plate with their schedules and they have kids and stuff. For them to be here, that made it extra special,” said Clark.
Among his accomplishments include helping the Colts win the Super Bowl in 2007 and passing John Mackey’s Colts record for both receptions and touchdowns for a tight end.
“This doesn’t get much better. It’s just special,” said Clark.
He was drafted by the Colts with the 24th pick in the first round of the 2003 NFL Draft. He played for the Colts from 2003-2011. After that, he played briefly with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Baltimore Ravens before retiring.
