Organization calling for legalized marijuana in Indiana

(95.3 MNC)
An organization called Safe and Regulated Indiana is calling for legalized marijuana in the state. The group is backed by Republicans including former Indiana Republican Party director Joe Elsener, who says Hoosiers deserve access to the drug.
Ohio, Illinois, and Michigan all have approved recreational marijuana for people 21 and older.
Governor-elect Mike Braun said during his campaign that he is open to looking into the possibility of legalizing marijuana in some capacity.
Current governor, Eric Holcomb, has been adamant that it should not be legal in Indiana until it is legal on the federal level.
