A South Bend Children’s Choir director is in jail after being accused of sex crimes.

Geoffrey Carter was arrested on Monday after being accused of possession of child pornography and voyeurism.

WSBT says a 17-year-old victim filed a police report after reportedly seeing a camera flash while in Carter’s home.

They say the victim got ahold of Carter’s phone and gave it to law enforcement where they found images of the victim fully exposed and naked. Several devices were seized from Carter’s home, including a fake smoke detector with a hidden camera.

Carter is no longer affiliated with Musical Arts Indiana, and, while he was working at the University of Notre Dame at the time of his arrest, they say he is no longer employed by the university.
