Two children hurt in crash on County Road 17 & Hanover Drive

Deputies from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash on County Road 17 near Hanover Drive around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 26.

A 66-year-old Goshen man driving a GMC Sierra rear-ended a Jeep Renegade, stopped in traffic and driven by a 19-year-old Bristol man waiting to turn left. Authorities reported the Goshen man was following too closely and couldn’t stop in time.

The GMC had two child passengers. An 11-year-old boy reported head pain, and an 8-year-old boy complained of hip pain.

The Goshen man was cited for operating a vehicle without insurance.
