The Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra needs the community to help keep the music alive.

The SMSO has launched their “Save Our Symphony” fundraising campaign, with the hopes of matching a recent grant. WSJM reports that the orchestra needs to raise $150,000 by March 30 in order to double its money.

The Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra is celebrating its 75th anniversary, but has struggled since the pandemic amid rising costs, key retirements on its board, and fewer performances.
