Niles Charter Township Board grappling with recreational marijuana regulations

(95.3 MNC)
The Niles Charter Township Board is still grappling with recreational marijuana regulations.
At this week’s meeting, a resident questioned its impact on youth and the community and asked about township revenue.
The treasurer said funds would come from the state and go into the general fund. Board members stated they must allow marijuana businesses per voter approval, limiting them to South 11th Street from Fulkerson Road to the state line.
Leader Publications reports a draft of regulations is due by month’s end, with zoning finalized by the planning commission.
