The move to try to legalize online lottery and casino games in Indiana is not going to be put up for a vote this session.
House Speaker Todd Huston confirmed the effort is dead for this session.
The bill easily passed the House Public Policy Committee this year, but was not taken up for a hearing in the Ways and Means Committee.
Huston says the bill is complex with a “lot of different moving parts,” and says finding consensus would not be easy.

Lottery, a voluntary tax paid by those who can least afford it. Government profiting off them is a position of greed and avarice.
