A woman accused of breaking into an Elkhart home had her jury trial continued last week.

Sarah Gaby is accused of a burglary that happened in September. Police responded to the home on Old U.S. 20 for a possible burglary where they found men standing outside the home.

The homeowner stated that the lights were on in his house when he got home around 9 p.m., but when he pulled in his driveway, they turned off. He and the men he was with entered, and a person inside the home attempted to flee , but the men pushed a mattress against the garage door to prevent it from being opened and held it shut from outside.

Gaby exited the home for the police and reportedly claimed to be homeless and bouncing from place to place.

The Goshen News says she was charged with burglary, possession of meth and possession of paraphernalia.

Her trial is now set for June 2.
