Goshen is giving away free trees to residents as part of its urban forestry initiative.
The program aims to enhance green spaces, improve air quality, and strengthen the urban canopy. Trees are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and participants must agree to water and maintain them.
This year’s tree options include Eastern redbud, American elm, river birch, chinkapin oak, black gum, and more.
Residents can view the full list and apply online at goshenindiana.org/freetrees-for-goshen-residents.
For more info, visit the Department of Environmental Resilience at 410 W. Plymouth Ave., email Environmental@goshencity.com, or call 574-534-0076.
