A number of construction projects have begun Ewing Avenue in South Bend that will last through much of the summer.

Work began Monday March 17 on Ewing between Gertrude St. and Kemble Ave. and is expected to last through mid-June.

The street is closed for new curbs, sidewalks, raised intersections, and repaving work. The detour is Dubail and Prairie Avenues.

Future phases of the project are planned for June and July along Ewing.
