St. Joseph County business leaders want a Career and Technical Education hub to give high schoolers earlier exposure to skilled trades.
The county lacks a dedicated CTE center which employers say could help students enter high-paying careers.
The International Brotherhood of Electric Workers 153 training center supports over 300 apprentices with paid training and benefits.
