The City of South Bend is actively responding to the aftermath of Sunday night’s storm.

They’re working to clear streets, public rights-of-way and alleys as well as to restore traffic signals.

However, homeowners are responsible for clearing storm debris from their private property.

Tree debris can be taken to the City’s Organic Resources facility on Trade Drive where the fee for disposal has been waived for city residents through Saturday, April 12.

Homeowners are also allowed one bulky item pickup and one yard waste extra pickup per month at no charge. To schedule an extra pickup, fill out an online form on the City of South Bend’s website.
