(95.3 MNC)
A Michigan-based electric vehicle company may bring 2,000 jobs to Warsaw.
TechCrunch reports Slate Auto is close to a deal to build low-cost electric pickups at the old R.R. Donnelley plant, which has sat empty for years.
Slate plans to sell trucks starting at $25,000-or less with tax credits.
The company hasn’t confirmed the site but says it will be in the Midwest.
CEO Chris Barman, formerly with Fiat-Chrysler, says Slate is focused on simple, affordable EVs.

These trucks are really interesting as a low cost commuter option. I’m glad they will be made here! They are very modular and customizable.
