Crews will close the LaSalle Branch of the St. Joe County Public Library on May 11 to begin a major renovation.
The project adds 2,000 square feet for a new art studio, lounge, and reservable meeting rooms.
Plans also include a travel-themed children’s play area, inspired by nearby transit hubs.
The library expects to reopen in spring 2026. In the meantime, guests can visit the Western Branch.

Defund, defund, defund. Our libraries stopped being libraries and turned into community centers. The funding is for libraries, not community centers.
