Man hospitalized after shooting in 3400 block of Sample Street

A man was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting happened near Don Juan Cantina and Grill, in the 3400 block of Sample Street in South Bend.

Officers responded around 1:15 a.m. on Sunday, May 4, after a ShotSpotter alert and found the victim at the scene.

The Violent Crimes Unit is investigating.
