A Middlebury man is facing felony charges after a crash left one person injured.

It happened on March 31 when reports say Demiris Williams was driving east on C.R. 18.

The Goshen News says his vehicle went off the north side of the road, struck a mailbox and a tree and then rolled over. He and his passenger were taken to the hospital.

Williams allegedly said they were on their way home from the bowling alley and he had fallen asleep at the wheel, though he tested positive for THC after marijuana was found in the vehicle.

The passenger suffered multiple orthopedic injuries. Williams’ jury trial was continued to September 8.
