A six-month-old child abducted by a non-custodial parent was safely recovered after an Indiana State Trooper spotted the suspect’s vehicle in Elkhart County.

It was just after 3 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, when a state police trooper spotted a maroon Chevrolet Trailblazer matching the description from a Plymouth Police alert on the bypass near County Road 17. He followed the vehicle and stopped it at U.S. 20 and State Road 15.

Inside, Hoffman found 30-year-old Shaquile Booker holding the baby. Booker was arrested with help from Bristol Police, and the child was unharmed.

Plymouth Police took Booker into custody and returned the child to the custodial parent. Booker faces multiple charges and had an active warrant out of Allen County.
