A South Bend man accused of armed robbery during a Marketplace deal has been sentenced.

31-year-old LaSean Green was originally charged with a Level 3 felony count of armed robbery after holding up a man during a Facebook Marketplace sale.

Reports say they met at Cabin Coffee Co. in Goshen where the victim planned to purchase two phones from Green. However, Green demanded the money and pistol-whipped the victim while a second suspect helped him take the money.

The Goshen News says Green pleaded guilty and was sentenced for armed robbery to nine years enhanced by two for a total of 11 years to be served at the IDOC with four years suspended on reporting probation, as well as for unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon to six years suspended on probation.
