The Indiana State Board of Animal Health has confirmed another case of bird flu in LaGrange County, affecting a flock of more than 19,000 commercial egg-laying hens.

The flock is under quarantine, and nearby areas in LaGrange, Elkhart, and Noble counties are being monitored.

It’s the fourth case reported in LaGrange County this week.

So far this year, more than 8.3 million domestic birds in Indiana have died from bird flu.
