The Indiana State Department of Agriculture is seeking project proposals from the state’s specialty crop sector for funding through the USDA’s Specialty Crop Block Grant Program.
Indiana will allocate $416,350 to selected projects to enhance the competitiveness of specialty crops, such as fruits, vegetables, and nursery crops.
Lieutenent Governor Micah Beckwith highlighted Indiana’s diverse agricultural offerings beyond corn and soybeans, including watermelons, mint, cantaloupe, and tomatoes.
Applications are due by June 4, 2025, and must be submitted online through ISDA’s Grants Management System.
