A man was arrested late Monday for shooting his gun 72 times near a neighborhood in Michigan City.
Several officers with the Michigan City Police Department arrived in the area of Seymour Avenue, near Hancock Avenue and West Eighth Street, and many people in the neighborhood came to them to tell them about the shots being fired.
Officers say they spotted 19-year-old Miko Lemons Jr. hiding in tall grass.
Lemons ignored police, ran off, but was quickly stopped. Lemons faces preliminary charges of criminal recklessness, resisting law enforcement, and gun theft.
