The South Bend school board has voted to end its $20 million contract with SSC Services for Education.
The company has been handling custodial, maintenance, and landscaping work for the district since 2022. Officials say bringing those jobs back in-house could save the district $3 to $5 million.
With that, the board approved the move unanimously.
