LaPorte man faces charges after crashing motorcycle while intoxicated

A LaPorte man is facing charges after crashing his motorcycle while intoxicated.

27-year-old Dakota Griffin was charged with Neglect of a Dependent and Operating While Intoxicated after having his six-year-old with him during the crash.

The boy was wearing a helmet and had road rash on his arm when he reportedly walked to a nearby home and told the homeowner about the crash.

Griffin was taken to a hospital by medical helicopter with severe road rash.

Reports say he may have been under the influence of fentanyl and marijuana and his BAC was recorded at nearly twice the legal limit.
