The City of Benton Harbor will be making improvements to the City Hall building after receiving a $100,000 grant.

The Community Energy Management grant comes from the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy.

The City Hall was built in 1937 and has since been used as a gathering place for city business and community gatherings. The grant funds will cover contractual work to insulate the building better from weather.

They’ll ensure the walls and roof are properly sealed to prevent water from seeping in and creating more damage.
