Neighbors gathered Thursday night to hear updates on Kennedy Park renovations.
City officials shared new renderings and confirmed plans for a pool-replacing earlier splash pad proposals after residents pushed for the change.
“There’s always been a pool here,” said Councilperson Ophelia Gooden-Rodgers. “I’m glad we’re going back to that.”
The city expects construction to begin by mid-spring next year, with funding support from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
