A car rolled out of a parking space  in Ketchikan, Alaska, struck a Hoosier woman from Auburn, Indiana, and crashed into Ketchikan Creek-killing her and injuring three others.
The crash happened around 8:40 a.m. on Monday, Sep. 1, near the creek. The 57-year-old woman was walking on the sidewalk when the car hit her and broke through a fence.
Her husband and several bystanders jumped into the water to rescue both her and the driver, who was trapped inside.
Emergency crews-including firefighters, police, and the U.S. Coast Guard-pulled them out using water rescue teams. Medics took the woman to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Two people remain in critical condition, and two others suffered minor injuries, including one of the rescuers.
