BBB warns of online gambling risks

The Better Business Bureau has released a new International Investigations Initiative study.

They say there’s been a rise in grey market and illegal online gambling. Since 2022, the BBB has received more than 10,000 complaints and nearly 200 scam reports tied to online gambling, including frozen winnings, misleading terms and sites operating in legal grey areas.

The American Gaming Association estimates illegal gambling may be worth over $400 billion.

The BBB of Northern Indiana says residents are increasingly being targeted. Consumers should verify licensing, read fine print, and report scams at BBB.org.
