USDA says November EBT funding may be limited

(95.3 MNC)

The USDA says November EBT funding could be limited in Indiana because of the federal shutdown.

Portage Township held a press conference on Tuesday, Oct. 21, to highlight how thousands of South Bend families could be affected and to encourage community support for the Portage Food Pantry in preparation for the disruption.

Officials say they are working to help families and ask the public to step in where possible.

Updates will be shared as more information becomes available.

Oh no! The people who don’t work for a living might not get free food courtesy of the people who do work for a living?

My heart breaks for them. Really. Or it would, if I wasn’t so tired from working all the time to support them.
