Republican state Senator Jean Leising is opposed to early congressional redistricting in Indiana.
She says she “will vote no” on the issue based on constituent opposition. Leising says she has heard from hundreds of people in the past two months and only 6% support redrawing the maps now.
Five other Senate Republicans have also said they are against the plan that has been pushed by President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance.
