New spending bill could shut down much of CBD industry

(95.3 MNC)
The new spending bill that ended the government shutdown could shut down much of the CBD industry. It changes hemp rules and limits CBD products to just 0.4 milligrams of THC by November 2026, making most current products illegal.
CBD business owners say this would force many companies to close.
WSBT reports Indianapolis CBD seller Jack Babcock says the limit is too low to offer any benefit and threatens the entire industry.
The change was pushed by Senator Mitch McConnell.
Babcock’s company is asking customers to share testimonials with lawmakers, hoping it can help protect CBD products.
