A Niles man died after his SUV collided with a semi at U.S. 31 and State Road 10.

Police were called to the scene shortly before 8 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6.

The Marshall County Coroner’s Office says the westbound SUV entered the path of a northbound semi and was hit on the driver’s side.

Christopher Jankoviak, 57, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger was taken to Memorial Hospital for treatment.
