Mishawaka Police investigating alleged battery at Marian High School basketball practice

The Mishawaka Police Department is investigating an alleged battery that reportedly occurred during a boys’ basketball practice at Marian High School.

According to police, the incident is alleged to have taken place on March 10 during a practice session for the team. Authorities have not released details about what led to the complaint.

Police say the investigation remains ongoing. Once it is complete, the case will be forwarded to the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office for review. Prosecutors will determine whether any criminal charges are warranted.

At this time, the names of those involved have not been released.
