The Chicago Bulls have released guard Jaden Ivey following controversial remarks he shared on social media.

Ivey, a Marian High School graduate, posted videos expressing religious views while criticizing Pride Month. The posts drew backlash and prompted a response from the team.

Head coach Billy Donovan said the comments were not in line with the organization’s standards, stressing the importance of respect and professionalism within the team.

Ivey, 24, is the son of Notre Dame women’s basketball head coach Niele Ivey. He was selected fifth overall in the 2022 NBA Draft after playing at Purdue University.

Why does freedom of speech apply only when its socially acceptable? I dont recall an asterisk in the Bill of Rights indicating 1st Am. applying only if people are ok with what is said.

Ironically, the black population has one of the lowest acceptance rates for the alphabet soup agenda. The NBA once again chose to place ideology above their customers.

I hope that the day will come quite soon when the NBA finally folds and is put out of our misery.
