(WSBT Storm Alert Team) Severe weather takes aim at Michiana this week, with several rounds of rain and storms expected.

We will get a break from the rain heading into Tuesday morning.

Just like Monday, there will be some dry time on Tuesday. The day will also be very warm with highs in the upper 70s once again, and humidity will be elevated.

Storms will track through our area on Tuesday evening.

The Storm Prediction Center has our whole area under a Level 2 risk for severe weather on Tuesday.

A line of rain and storms arrives with a boundary late Tuesday into early Wednesday.

With this round, all hazards are possible. The biggest concerns are hail and damaging winds.

This boundary does not cool us off very much — highs Wednesday will be in the low 70s. Humidity will still be elevated.

Rain and storms will likely continue through the day Wednesday. The Storm Prediction Center has us under a Level 1 risk for Wednesday.

It is still too early for exact details on Wednesday’s storms, however the threat for severe storms does look lower.

These daily chances for off and on rain and storms will continue much of the week and into the weekend as temperatures stay well into the 70s.

We’re expected to be cooler and drier on Sunday after a stronger front comes through.
