The community is invited to celebrate Earth Day with the Elkhart Environmental Center this Saturday.

The free, family-friendly event features a tree giveaway with nearly 350 trees available, plus kids’ activities, workshops and a spring plant exchange.

It’s happening from 10 until 1.

Children can build a free bluebird box while supplies last, enjoy crafts, and get face painting throughout the day.

Visitors can also explore booths, meet local organizations and even see live fish with the city’s aquatic biologist.
