The St. Joseph County Police Department will bring National Night Out to New Carlisle on Tuesday, Aug. 4.

The free community event will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Memorial Park.

National Night Out is an annual nationwide initiative designed to strengthen relationships between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve.

The New Carlisle event will feature free food, children’s activities and representatives from local organizations. Officers from several divisions of the St. Joseph County Police Department will also attend, along with the St. Joseph County sheriff.

The event is free and open to the public.
