An Edwardsburg man was charged with domestic assault when officers with the Dowagiac Police Department arrested him after getting a call about a domestic disturbance at a local hotel.

The arrest happened around 1 a.m. on Friday, March 3, after officers were called to the Baymont Inn & Suites in Dowagiac about a fight between a man and a woman.

On arrival, a witness told police 26-year-old Daniel Dunn pulled a knife and threatened him with it when he tried to stop the fight.

Dunn took off into some woods near the hotel before they arrived. They found him a short time later.
