He still faces lawsuits, but on the criminal side, Chad Leiby can breathe a little sigh of relief.

That’s because he’s no longer facing three felony grand larceny charges in the state of New York, which carried a maximum 25 years in prison. Now, Leiby’s just facing a lone charge of petite larceny, which is a Class A misdemeanor that carries a maximum one year in jail or three years probation, according to the Elkhart Truth.

Leiby is accused of stealing 13 golf carts from Mid-State Golf Cart in Canton, N.Y., which carry a value of over $21,000.

He’s also a former one-third owner of GRC Golf Products in Elkhart and is accused by his partners of gross mismanagement of the company. Dozens of companies around the country claim GRC took money for products that were never delivered.
